GENERAL PREREQUISITES OF 175 HOURS OF CONSCIOUS DANCE PRACTICE

A minimum of 100 hours must be Movement Medicine practice, of which at least 75 hours must be with a qualified Movement Medicine Teacher

A maximum of 75 hours can include related conscious dance practice such as 5Rhythms, Open Floor, Laban/ Bartenieff Movement System, Dance Movement Therapy, Soul Motion, Embodied Coaching, Somatics and other embodied practices. 

Online - of your 175 hours of practice: up to 60 hours can be Movement Medicine Study Hub online learning and practice. Up to 20 hours can be open online classes, up to 40 hours can be online closed small ongoing groups or workshop format work with qualified Movement Medicine Teachers.

The Summer Long Dance. 

This annual  6-day event, hosted by Susannah and Ya’Acov and The School of Movement Medicine is open to the entire Movement Medicine community. It includes a 72-hour dance ceremony. This is an integral part of your Apprenticeship. You must have done one, either within 18 months of starting your Apprenticeship or within 18 months of your last module. Not included in the price.
